This code of ethics shall govern all members of the Bridgetown Baseball Association.
Bridgetown Baseball Association is a nonprofit, noncommercial and a nonpolitical group.
All titles held in this organization are a privilege and shall be determined by the vote of its member, who are in good standing with said organization.
Trustees, officers, managers and coaches shall heed the following rules:
We as individuals come together to first and foremost be leaders amongst our youth.
By our conduct and attitude, we should be setting a pattern through which they will be molded to an ideal character, so they may become our future leaders.
Sportsmanship and the enjoyment of playing baseball and softball shall be our goal.
Managers should provide at every opportunity the chance for all to participate.
They should be impartial in their judgment as to the needs of every player that they coach.
Every manager shall continually strive to promote B.B.A. through a regular attendance at meetings, friendly relations with other members and being well informed regarding B.B.A. regulations and procedures.
All members should attempt to teach responsibility for equipment, backstops and care of grounds and the prevention of vandalism to the baseball diamonds.
No manager, coach or any member is permitted to advertise for players and at no time will you recruit any other member’s players.
Be cordial with umpires, any and all other competitors and when disputes arise use the proper due process to alleviate problems.
At no time will hostile behavior be tolerated, especially in the presence of the kids.
Any and all disciplinary action will be determined at a hearing with the Board of Trustees. They have the authority to release a member of their duties within the organization and to not offer membership after a hearing.
Each member should encourage and promote the interest of the Bridgetown Baseball Association Inc.
Every member should endeavor to raise the standards of all players on his/her team through the parents, business people and civic groups.
